recordings created for the first-ever vinyl record released by the National Museum in Warsaw, titled
Naturceare. The record features two compositions:
what field whispers by Agata Zemla and
Uhtceare by Katarina Gryvul, both drawing inspiration from the works of Józef Chełmoński. Nature, especially the depiction of wild birds in Chełmoński’s paintings, served as inspiration for Agata Zemla and Katarina Gryvul, who composed their pieces for the National Museum in Warsaw.
In
Uhtceare by Katarina Gryvul, the sounds of birds awakening to life can be heard. They are imitated by instruments, enhanced with electronics, vocalizations, and extended performance techniques. This is a classically structured yet sonically modernized piece that evokes feelings of nostalgia, solitude, and mortality.
